Cancun Beach





Cancun (in Spanish: kaŋkun) is a city in the southeast of Mexico, located on the northeast coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is a major tourist destination renowned media, as well as being the seat of the municipality of Benito Juarez. The city is located on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of the points in eastern Mexico. Cancun is located just north of the Caribbean coast resort in Mexico, known as the Riviera Maya

Place names
There are two types of translations of the name of Cancun, on the basis of the fact that the Mayan pronunciation. The first translation is "nest of snakes." The second version which is at least acceptable name "instead of gold snake

Shield municipality of Benito Juarez, who represents the city of Cancun, which was designed by the artist bio Jesus Jimenez Carmichael (Elio Carmichael). It is divided into three parts: the color blue symbolizes the Caribbean, and yellow sand and sun painted with red rays

The city began as a project of tourism in 1974 as an integrated organization Center, a pioneer of FONATUR (Fundo Nacional de Fomento al Turismo, National Fund for Tourism Development), formerly known as INFRATUR. Since then, there has been a comprehensive shift from being a fisherman island which is surrounded by primeval forest and undiscovered beaches with being one of the two most famous Mexican resorts, along with Acapulco

Cancun was awarded Best Award "of excellence and good governance" by the World Tourism Organization (WTO), and through the establishment of the World Tourism Organization, has also worked to promote tourism in Cancun in February 3, 2007. This award has ensured the continued support of Cancun and the Ministry of Education and knowledge management at the World Trade Organization

Most 'Cancunenses' is one of the Mexican Yucatan and other countries. There is a growing number of the rest of the Americas and Europe. As well as the reduction of squatters and irregular developments, which now occupies an estimated ten to fifteen percent of the land area on the sidelines of the city
